Only material, recently-checked price changes. No coupon feed, no countdown timers, no “was $999” claims we can’t verify.

What qualifies

An entry appears here only if all three are true:

  1. Material change — a genuine price drop of at least 10% or $50 against a verified list price, or a new low we can document.
  2. Recently checked — the price was verified within the last 7 days. Entries older than 14 days are removed or re-verified, never left standing.
  3. Verifiable “was” — the original price comes from the manufacturer (strikethrough, press release, MSRP) or a corroborated third-party listing. Inflated “was” prices get called out, not repeated.

Entry format

Each entry: product → old price → new price → % change → checked date → source → verdict (Genuine / Routine / Clearance / Watch) with reasoning.

Update cadence

  • Prices rechecked 3× weekly (Mon / Wed / Fri).
  • Entries refreshed with new checked dates; stale entries removed.
  • Material changes between updates become newsletter material.
  • Recalls or safety issues touching a listed product trigger an immediate update + newsletter note (per the operating policy).
